This is a copy-paste from a Facebook note [sorry!] – I’m just amazed at the networking going on online for the upcoming Presidential election and wanted to share:
Seeing as this is the most crazily internetty election of ever, I’m taking advantage of this new level of accessibility to educate myself more thoroughly than I’ve been able to in any other election. This is the best educational tool I’ve found:

Mark your views on the issues and the weight you accord to each; the site will match you with the candidates in order by the extent to which they share your views. This was truly an eye-opening experience for me – the site includes several lesser-known candidates whose views came as a pleasant surprise.
So check it out if you’re as confused by these smooth talkers as I am – not that I would ask you to base your vote on an internet quiz, but this is a great starting point to research candidates who share your views. You may be as surprised as I was at the result.
In other news, Lance’s family and mine got together tonight at the Cracker Barrel to have Christmas. It was so good to see him – with us being together so much at school, sometimes I really feel like we’re already grown and married, and it’s always a rude awakening to go home for a break and remember that he actually lives 100 miles away. I love being with my family, and I see them far less often than I do him, so I treasure the ability to come home, but I do still wish I could have everyone I love all in one place!
I love trading gifts, and I’m so excited about some of the ones I have for this Christmas. I’ve been going the artsy-fartsy road lately and making personalized notecards for people. I gave Lance’s mom a set of 10 kind of “wild card” themed cards tonight, and I’m almost done with an equestrian-themed set of 8 for Aynsley. It’s fun when people don’t believe I made them myself.
Here be gingerbread, arr.
